NEOFA History
The North East Odd Fellows Association (NEOFA) was formed by Odd Fellows and Rebekahs from across the Northeast and Atlantic Provinces, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Quebec, Rhode Island, Vermont, and the Atlantic Provinces of Canada. Their goal was to create a space where fellowship, community, and youth development could thrive.
After years of planning, the Association purchased the Montville Fairgrounds in Montville, Maine, in 1957. This marked the beginning of a long tradition of collaboration, with each jurisdiction contributing funds or building cabins, facilities, and resources to bring the camp to life.
Today, NEOFA continues to exist as a regional body that unites Odd Fellows and Rebekahs across multiple jurisdictions, supporting the ongoing mission of fellowship and community service while ensuring the continued success of Camp NEOFA for generations to come.
